About Corey Elinburg
Corey Elinburg is a System SVP and Chief Information Security Officer for CommonSpirit Health, the largest nonprofit health system in the United States serving more than 1,000 care sites in 21 states. Corey joined CommonSpirit in September 2020 as a System VP of Cloud, Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Strategy where he played a vital role in shaping the technology and technology risk strategy for the organization.
Corey leads the Cybersecurity and Technology Risk Team which is composed of four towers and over 150 staff members, with a wide range of backgrounds and expertise. Prior to joining CommonSpirit, Corey held various cybersecurity and technology leadership roles at UnitedHealth Group, World Wide Technologies, Kimberly-Clark, AWS and Microsoft.
In addition to protecting CommonSpirit’s tech environments and keeping data secure, Corey is focused on delivering “digital trust.” Digital trust doesn’t just mean ensuring patient information is safe and enforcing privacy and regulatory needs. Digitaltrust means accomplishing these things in a way that inspires our patients’ confidence.
