Ben Dewar-Powell

Ben Dewar-Powell serves as the CISO & VP Engineering – Security & Technology Foundations at Tide, a financial platform that serves small businesses. Joining Tide in 2019, Ben brought with him 15 years of consulting and leadership experience. He is dedicated to securing complex environments on a global scale. At Tide, Ben merges technical expertise with risk-based security practices, providing stakeholders with confidence in the security of Tide’s assets and technology. He has been instrumental in the growth of businesses specialising in offensive security, including Digital Assurance (acquired by F-Secure). Ben employs innovative yet practical methods to enhance Tide’s security posture, defence, and compliance. Beyond his role as CISO, Ben is an angel investor, trusted advisor, and an enthusiastic supporter of Welsh rugby (Go Dragons!) with an unhealthy love of bad movies.
