Souvik Das

Souvik Das is the CTO at Zenefits, a company building the next generation of HR, Payroll and Benefits Administration software. At Zenefits, Souvik oversees all aspects of engineering, technical operations, security, and IT systems. Before Zenefits, Souvik held executive positions in engineering at Capital One and PayPal. Souvik spent the early years of his career at Netscape and America Online building internet scale software systems. 

At PayPal, Souvik led the engineering team for PayPal’s merchant services business that brought in multiple billion dollars of revenue annually. He joined PayPal as an engineer and over his decade long journey there led teams of several hundred people. As Chief Technology Officer and Managing Vice President of Engineering for Capital One Auto Finance, Souvik accelerated the pivot to consumer focused digital transformation and migration to public cloud.

With almost 25 years of professional experience in the technology industry, Souvik is a highly accomplished software executive with proven global leadership and technology transformation across multiple industries such as payments, consumer lending, health-tech and enterprise technology. Souvik has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in India.
