About Jeff Steinhorn
Mr.Steinhorn is the technology operating partner with Gridiron Capital, an investment firm focused on partnering with founders, entrepreneurs, and management teams, and creating value by building middle-market companies into industry-leaders in branded consumer, B2B and B2C services, and niche industrial segments in the United States and Canada.
Prior to joining Gridiron, he held the CIO position at multiple companies. Most recently, Jeff was CIO at Johnson & Johnson, responsible for all aspects of the company’s information technology for its pharmaceutical business (Janssen). Prior to that, he was the CIO of the Johnson & Johnson Consumer and Consumer Medical Devices businesses.
Before coming to Johnson & Johnson, Jeff was the global CIO of Hess Corporation, a $40 billion vertically integrated energy company. And before that, he was the CIO of Linens & Things, a 500+ store home furnishings chain based in the U.S. and Canada.
Jeff began his career with Accenture (formerly Arthur Andersen, then Andersen Consulting) and spent 16 years helping clients design and implement business improvements through new strategies, technology solutions, process efficiencies, and change management. He has held several advisory board and board of director positions at other organizations, including VC companies, universities, county YMCA chapters, and industry groups. Jeff received his business degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Vermont.
